The Office of Heritage of the Consell de Formentera has published the 11th issue of the Formentera review, which features material from the Joan Marí Cardona Local Study Days in 2021.
As always with the Joan Marí Cardona series, the lectures relate to the humanities and social sciences. Specifically, the most recent edition includes "Protection, conservation and dissemination of vernacular architecture", a paper by Fernando Vegas and Camilla Mileto; "Changes in the dispersed settlement on Formentera between 1956 and 2002", by Vicent Prats; "Epidemics on Formentera", by Fanny Tur; "Plants for well-being", by Josep Colonques, "Institutional repression on Formentera under Franco: the General Cause".
Raquel Guasch, heritage councillor, stressed that "the interest of the Consell in the current legislature was to revive and update these publications, because they highlight immensely interesting research work and reflections on our island which are essential to plumbing the depths of Formentera's history".
